6/8/2011 8:00 a.m. HARMAN, the global premium audio and infotainment group HAR, announced today that it has completed its product launch for its first integrated audio solution for the Class III gaming industry. With its initial strategic product integration deal in this new market, the center of the gaming industry and the major casinos along the Las Vegas Strip will have the first gaming devices with the high quality sound from our Infinity® branded audio solutions. “The integration of our audio technology into the gaming entertainment arena gives our brand and audio experience exposure to thousands of consumers every day. This will further define how Harman is growing our business into more diverse areas of consumer entertainment,” said Dinesh C. Paliwal, the Company’s Chairman, President and CEO. “We were approached by a seasoned manufacturer of gaming devices to assist the company with matching its high definition gaming experience with a quality of audio that completes their presentation goals for the best gaming experience in casinos.” HARMAN has worked with Ardent PS&G, a licensed manufacturer of gaming devices to provide the audio integration in their games. “Because we have unique, large platform “Colossal” gaming devices with high definition displays that are immediately identifiable in the casino, we wanted to match that presentation with the best audio solution possible. With the Harman team we were able to achieve this level of quality audio for the best gaming experience for casino customers” said Robert Guinn, the Company’s CEO. “In addition, we like having the Infinity® brand in front of the customers while they are playing the games because of the brands’ immediate recognition in the consumer sector as a high end quality sound experience.” ---- HARMAN (www.harman.com) designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of audio and infotainment solutions for the automotive, consumer and professional markets – supported by 15 leading brands including AKG®, Harman Kardon®, Infinity®, JBL®, Lexicon® and Mark Levinson®.
