New technology determines free drinks during slot machine play
A new technology was developed that can help casinos determine whether a player should earn a comped drink while playing on slot machines.
Ardent Progressive Systems & Games just finished the prototype for the LED technology that would be attached to the slot machines.
The company already has a comped drink monitoring system technology on bar top machines in 19 casinos in Las Vegas.

Golden Nugget officially rolls out a comped drink monitoring system
Now, the Golden Nugget is trialing the technology on their casino floor.
“Now we’re looking to go out into more the local market,” said Tabola.
He also says they are in talks with some other off-strip casinos and we could soon see the technology just about everywhere.

Las Vegas observers predicted this was coming, and now its here. Caesars Entertainment, which operates nine Sin City resorts, has rolled out its “Red Light, Green Light” (our term, not theirs) comp drink monitoring system to all its Las Vegas casinos.
The color-coded light system, installed on the back of video poker machines at casino and sports book bars, tells bartenders when a guest’s play warrants a free, or “comped,” drink.
